This incredible Fall / Winter 2003 Yves Saint Laurent skirt was designed by Tom Ford and it is a beautiful example of Ford's work while designing the Rive Gauche line at YSL. This deadstock skirt still has the extra swatch attached on a YSL hang tag. We have documented the skirt on the YSL runway for the 2003 collection.

We've never been that excited about skirts but this one is unbelievable. The fabric is an indigo blue silk and the skirt has front vertical seams that extend from an inverted V and continue to the box pleats at the hemline.  The hemline has a lot of movement while the rest of the skirt is stationary. We especially love the unique sheer floral lace detail at the hips. The skirt has a branded YSL zipper closure with a hook and eye on the center back.
