Gorgeous layered doily Valentine's Day card from the turn of the century. A small doily frame sits against a heavily embossed, die-cut background, illustrated with gold ink. Inside the frame is a small girl, a cherub and a set of arrows. The frame can be carefully extended to create a 3D effect, emphasising the layering. Inside is a decorated love poem printed in red ink, and the outer back cover remains blank.
Overall, this card is in incredibly good condition. The front cover is clean, colorful and without any tears or noticeable deterioration. The inside of the card is also clean and blemishes free. The back cover has the remnants of a price tag and some light staining, but is otherwise good looking as well. This is a beautiful card and a wonderful example of Victorian design.
